CO2 Laser Warts Removal
CarePlus uses a CO2 laser or plasma electrosurgery to remove viral warts. Our services are managed by professional doctors, which can effectively and accurately treat warts. The process is minimally invasive and generally leaves no scars.
Additionally, the CO2 laser stops bleeding and disinfects the wound by vaporizing and absorbing the diseased skin tissue without the need for additional bandaging, reducing the chances of infection.
Since the CO2 laser wart removal treatment only penetrates the surface layer of the skin, viral cells will become necrotic. Therefore, the laser treatment is less destructive, recovers faster, and relatively reduces the chance of leaving scars. It is also more effective and completive in removing viral warts than other treatments.
What are Warts ?
Warts are a type of tiny skin infection caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The infection causes rough, skin-colored bumps to form on the skin. Common parts of the body where viral warts appear include the face, neck, shoulders, back, hands, and feet. Because warts are contagious, they can be passed on to family members if you are not careful.
Affecting the appearance
Initially, viral warts appear to be small, similar to oil particles, but eventually they become larger and spread to other areas of the skin, causing it to become rough and unable to be covered with cosmetics, resulting in a negative appearance. Viral warts on the face and neck must be removed as soon as possible to have fresh and smooth skin by giving people a clean, healthy feeling and appear in perfect condition.
How do Warts Spread?
There are several ways in which viral warts can be transmitted, including but not limited to lack of facial care, wearing masks, using public towels, participating in beauty salons or gymnasiums, not changing pillowcases for an extended period of time, and close contact with people with viral warts.
Common Types of Warts
Common Warts: Common Warts are small from the size of a pinhead to a pea and feel like rough, hard bumps. Commonly found on the face, neck, fingers, toes, back of hands, and edges of nails.
Flat warts: Flat warts, or plane warts, are small in size, slightly raised, and smooth in appearance. Flat warts can be light brown and develop most often on the forehead and cheeks. However, they also develop on the neck, elbows, calves, etc.
Plantar Warts: Plantar warts usually occur on the feet or ankles. These warts look like calluses with tiny black dots in the center. They are often painful and form in clusters.
Tips for the Before and After Warts Removal Treatment
Before wart removal:
- Be aware that there will be redness on the skin and the wounds will be scabbed after wart removal. You are suggested to pre-arrange well for your post-treatment activities, especially for important gatherings/appointments, and suggested not to cover the wounds with cosmetics so as to avoid bacterial infection of the skin.
- Avoid scheduling strenuous or outdoor exercise on alternate days after the warts removal treatment.
After wart removal:
- To reduce the chance of skin dryness and sensitivity, it is suggested that outdoor activities, steam baths, saunas, and other activities should be avoided for 1-2 weeks. And suggested using sunscreen when having outdoor activities so as to avoid harmful UV (ultraviolet) rays and prevent any surprise sunburns or skin irritation.
- To avoid reinfection, daily used cosmetics and household items such as towels and pillowcases, must be thoroughly disinfected or replaced.
- To seek and consult with the doctor’s advice before applying any skincare or facial treatments after the wart removal.

Q & A
How to claim the insurance ?
Before the treatment, please get the relevant medical insurance claim form from your insurance agent/ broker. Then, the doctor who handles your wart removal treatment will fill in the claim form. Upon completion of the treatment, please ask our staff for a receipt that complies with the specifications. Finally, contact your insurance agent/broker to process your claim.
Will warts recur after removal ?
Generally, we can remove warts on the skin through treatment, but the virus may remain in other skin areas of the patient, so there is still a chance of recurrence. The main reason for recurrence is that patients expose themselves to wart viruses due to not changing their living habits. Therefore, we suggest that do not use any public towels or utensils after treatment; daily used household items including towels and pillowcases, must be disinfected to reduce the risk of recurrence.
